The poltical Leadership of district pulwama Since its inception in the year 1979.

The Astrologists must have phoo phooed the year of inception of district pulwama ie 1979. Had it not been so the district would have seen a jubilient vibrent and energetic leadership for its development. the political lordship Has treated the inhabitants as vassals and have reaped rich harvest of there personal ends. Nobody cared to groom the district as a viable and distinct entity of the state of J& K. They allowed it to continue as a colony within the State. The leadership has shown the natural colour and hue of what the great wise men have coined as"Hunting with the Hounds And running with the Hare" as they did not have a vision for the uplift and prosperity of he district. They believe in "As is Where is" Condition for district Pulwama. O Pulwami what a Fate you have....

Membership drive: District Development Forum is a non-governmental, non-political organization established to be a catalyst in the process of development. The organization has come into existence in reflection to the slow pace of the developmental in dist Pulwama and iniquitous treatment vis-a-vis other districts. It is worth to mention here that Pulwama has attained the district status in the year 1979 and if a dead person of that date will pay a visit to his native district he will find no change except the deteriorated conditions of our water bodies, parks, schools and other institutions. Thus our district shows negative development. The district is contributing 16.4% of GDP of the state which is highest as compared to other districts of the state But apathetically, we are getting only 1.5 % of the state's share as developmental fund to the district. This is total injustice to this district of noble Dwellers.Our Silence & the biased attitude towards us, has led our all institutions to cripple.Oh! What a stagnation? we have no Hospital to treat patients with diseases like ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics,  oncology, dermatologist, cardiology etc, No infrastructure, machines like CT Scan etc. this hospital has no rehabilitation center for drug addicts. Depleted roads worsened streets, power cuts, No excess to higher education, Employment injustice, Impaired water supply Failure of agriculture/ Horticulture departments, Corruption, Illegal construction etc. to address all these issues forum is striving hard and we wish the like minded people to join the forum as we are friends of all and foes of none but Please don't join the Forum with any personal agenda and vested interests with the holistic conception of khudai khadmatgar.

It is heartening to note that you were keen to inaugurate the grid station of 17.52 crores having 50 MVA power at a town falling on the borders of Baramulla and Budgam districts on way to Gulmarg and simultaneously hijacking proposed grid station Pulwama to Shopian without any knowledge of the people concerned. This apathetic attitude is not less than disturbance of ecological balance leading to the mental holocaust of the common man of Pulwama. Any reason for mistreatment of the habitants of pulwama!!

Lotus eaters- Town without lavotry

Hoarding, Eating and sleeping has been perpetual order of the Pulwama dwellers. The district HQ is without basic amenities of life even the most urgent need of life, "toilet facility" is not available. Perhaps al;l are angels in pulwama who don't need such facilities at all, Myself alone has been perhaps caught on the wrong foot. Sometimes I am forced to ease here and there and at times compelled to select the admin complex and pulwama main market. Sometimes when I visualize that instead of angels had the population been humans rather than Angles what could have been the fate of this town of barren crags. thanks to my friend Mr G.M. Dar with whom I shared my apprehensions and he got me out of my illusion for people taken by me as angles. I was surprised to know that actually the whole population are normal human beings with special skill to ease themselves nocturnally and even get suspected as scare-crows . By using whole of the pulwama as an open latrines makes our fields rich with night-soil.
